Allergens Chart
Please note the following:
- The ingredients produced from soybeans are refined soybean products. These products have been shown not to cause allergic reactions in clinical studies but cannot be guaranteed 100% free from soy proteins.
- Sulfites are not on the NFPA allergen list but can be considered an allergen to asthmatics and other sulfite sensitive individuals.
- Canada lists sulfite as one of the major allergens. Consequently, any consumer information given out to Canadian customers concerning allergens would need to include sulfites.
- The Honest Earth line of products does not contain sulfites or other preservatives.
- Idahoan Foods does not use dedicated allergen facilities.
- Idahoan Foods utilizes scheduling, cleaning procedures, inspections and random testing to prohibit allergen cross contamination between products.
- Refer to the allergen label statement for Idahoan products that have been discontinued or do not appear on this list.
Below is a list of possible sources of the allergens we have within our plants and products but is not all inclusive:
- Wheat - gluten, wheat flour as ingredients in sauce mixes.
- Soy - soybean oil, soy flour, mono and diglycerides, lecithin, medium for tocopherols.
- Milk - cheese powders, dry milk, whey, caseinates, lactose, sour cream, buttermilk, butter, cream etc.
The US major allergens include the following:
Soy, Milk, Peanuts, Tree Nuts, Fish, Shellfish, Egg, Wheat
The Canadian major allergens include the following:
Peanuts, Tree Nuts, Sesame Seeds, Milk, Egg, Fish, Crustaceans and Shellfish, Soy, Wheat, Sulfites
